REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve the appointment of Allan Safranek, III to the Land Development Review Board.
DISCUSSION:
On February 8, 2021, Mr. Safranek submitted an application seeking appointment to the Land Development Review Board. Mr. Safranek has over twenty years experience as a realtor and currently serves as the President for the West Pasco Board of Realtors. I have had multiple opportunities to work with Mr. Safranek on various matters over the past seven years and can attest that he has a strong comprehension of the principles of planning and zoning needed for a member of this Board. It is my opinion that Mr. Safranek would be an effective and valuable member of the Board. Should City Council concur and approve Mr. Safranek's appointment, his term will be for three years and will be up for renewal on July 6, 2024. With this appointment, that leaves one alternate member position available on this board.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the appointment of Allan Safranek, III to the Land Development Review Board as submitted and accept the attached updated roster.
