REQUEST:
The request is for the Board of Directors to approve the purchase of an 11 passenger + 1 ADA Electric Shuttle and to approve the accompanying budget amendment.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this purchase is for the city to provide transportation to and from the new parking garage to downtown New Port Richey. The shuttle will be free of charge to visitors and will run on a schedule, with specific drop off and pick up points, to be determined. The shuttle should help alleviate potential parking issues and allow patrons the opportunity to park in the garage and enjoy downtown businesses and activities. The purchase of the Shuttle will be from Moto Electric Vehicles of Atlantic Beach Florida. The vendor has status under the State of Florida Cooperative bidding contract #25100000-19-1.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Board of Directors approve the purchase of an 11 passenger + 1 ADA Electric Shuttle and to approve the accompanying budget amendment as submitted.
BUDGET / FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this expenditure in the amount of $35,045, will be charged to account #630080-46415 of the CRA's Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021 budget. | | | |
