RE:	Request to Use Equitable Sharing Monies to Pay for Bicycle Enclosure Fencing

REQUEST:
I respectfully request Council authorize the use of Equitable Sharing funds to pay for fencing to enclose the bicycle storage area.

DISCUSSION:

It is necessary for the Police Department to securely store all property and evidence taken into custody in a safe, secure manner -- this includes bicycles. Due to space limitations, bicycles are being stored outside, under cover inside the employee parking lot at the Police Department. It is necessary to construct a fence enclosure to prevent theft.

This can be accomplished by Keeler Landscaping, Inc.-- 30630 Darby Road, FL.,33525, at a cost of $3,260.00.

RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend Council authorize the use of Equitable Sharing Funds to pay for the above enclosure.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

Equitable Sharing monies will be used to pay for this expense; therefore, there is no direct impact to the Department’s F/Y 2020/2021 Budget.
