REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve a one year extension on the lease agreement with Pasco County for the ballfields at Pine Hill.
DISCUSSION:
As Council may recall, you approved a three month extension on the lease agreement with Pasco County for the ballfields at Pine Hill at your regular meeting on April 6, 2021. The current lease is due to expire on July 26, 2021. Discussions related to the proposed property exchange with the County continue to ensue with an expected conclusion in coming months. In an abundance of caution, I am recommending at this time that we enter into an extension on the lease agreement for a term of one year. The lease shall expire on July 26, 2022 or shall terminate once the property transfer has been executed whichever occurs first.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the one year extension on the lease with Pasco County for the ballfields at Pine Hill as submitted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
