As you already know, the City decided to participate directly with the Department of Economic Development in lieu of being a subrecipient to Pasco County in relationship to the Housing Rehabilitation Program. In order to comply with the program requirements and also as a condition of receiving CDBG funds, the City is required to publicly read and approve several resolutions and they are as listed below:
- Resolution No. 2021-40 in respect to adopting procedures relating to complaints under the city’s CDBG grants
- Resolution No. 2021-41 adopting a policy in respect to small woman owned and minority businesses for use in administering the CDBG grants and adopting a policy relating to the employment of minorities by the city
- Resolution No. 2021-42 related to tenant assistance, relocation and real property acquisition
- Resolution No. 2021-43 in respect to a policy related city purchases including a minority business enterprise policy for use in administering CDBG grants
- Resolution No. 2021-44 related to a policy involving citizen participation in the city’s CDBG program
- Resolution No. 2021-45 related to Non-Violent Civil Rights Demonstrations
The above referenced resolutions have been reviewed by the City Attorney and he has opined that they are consistent with the law relating to the use of the Community Development Block Grant Funds.
