REQUEST:
The request of staff for the director’s review and consideration of approval is an attached communication easement from Frontier Florida, LLC which grants access to the City owned parking structure located at 5300 Acorn Street.
DISCUSSION:
As the board is aware, the construction of the parking structure is nearing completion. Technology elements of the project require the structure to be tied into a communication network. Fire monitoring, elevator monitoring, and the security systems are the elements included for the structure. To accomplish the tie-ins needed to get these systems up and running Frontier requires that the City grant them a 10’ wide communications easement along the east side and south side of the property to allow them access to the City’s property for the installation and maintenance of their communication cable and facility.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the easement granting is recommended.
