REQUEST:
The City Manager requests her Employment Agreement be amended to include a one-time lump sum payout of unused annual leave.
DISCUSSION:
The City Manager is requesting an addendum to her Employment Agreement which would allow for a one-time lump sum payout of unused annual leave. The amount of unused annual leave subject to the payout provision would be a maximum of five (5) weeks. The payout provision would be a one-time option to be exercised at the discretion of the City Manager at any time during the Employment Agreement. If this item is approved the annual leave will be deducted from the amount of annual leave already accrued by the City Manager. The Employment Agreement currently provides that the City Manager shall be paid 100% of all unused annual leave upon separation from the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Attorney requests that City Council approve the Addendum to the Employment Agreement as submitted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding to cover this expenditure is provided for in the City’s FY 14/15 Annual Budget.
