RE:2020 Tennis Court Repairs/Improvements – Project Close Out

REQUEST:

The request of staff for City Council is to review and approve the final pay request in the amount not to exceed $89,846.85 submitted by Augustine Construction, Incorporated for the completion of the 2020 Tennis Courts Repairs/Improvements Project.  The final cost for the project is $520,705.



DISCUSSION
:

As City Council may recall, in 2017 the City contracted with the Genesis Group to conduct an analysis of the existing tennis court area adjacent to the City’s Recreation and Aquatic Center.  Subsequent to the analysis, design and construction drawings were completed and the project went out to bid.  Included in the project’s scope of work were the stabilization of the tennis court sub-bases, the resurfacing and restriping of the tennis courts, stormwater drainage improvements, asphalt overlay, restriping of the existing parking lot, and the LED exterior lighting conversion of the parking lot and tennis courts.  Finally, the replacement of fencing around the tennis courts where needed and the removal and replacement of all electrical wiring from the main panel to the different facilities.



RECOMMENDATION:

Approval of the final pay request is recommended.



BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

Funds for this project are identified and Penny for Pasco Tax Dollars.
