The current one-year contract expires on September 30, 2015.
The agreement designates Florida Design Consultants (FDC) as the City Engineer with Steve Wasson staffing the position. The agreement provides for consulting services, study and report services, project design services, general services during construction and inspector services. Supplementary services and special projects are also included.
Section 3.02.02 of the Land Development Code provides for the creation of the office of the City Engineer by City Council appointment for a one-year term. The original agreement was approved on February 10, 2010 after selection of FDC through the Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act.
Task order #1 is attached to the agreement which provides a scope of services including plan review, engineering consultation, meeting attendance and other assignments which may be assigned. The maximum compensation is not to exceed $43,550. FDC has not increased its hourly rates and they remain the same as the current contract.
