REQUEST:
The City Council is asked to review and approve the accompanying year-end amendments to the FY2020-2021 Adopted Budget, which would allow for the following:
- recognize and accept the receipt of American Rescue Plan Act funds that were received before year-end, instead of October 2021 (next fiscal year), as indicated by the State.
- transfer of funds across departments to cover maintenance support of legacy software system, additional cost from insurance deductibles, and additional credit card charges.
- transfer of additional funds to CRA as a result of recalculation of TIF Revenue
DISCUSSION:
The City’s Purchasing Policy states that the City Council may by motion transfer part or all of any unencumbered appropriation balance from one (1) department and office to another. The City’s policy also states that a receipt not anticipated in the budget or received for a particular purpose, including but not limited to grants, donations, or gifts, must be approved by City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council approve the attached year-end amendments to the FY2020-2021 Adopted Budget.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The attached budget amendment results in an overall increase of $4,191,390 to the total adopted budget. | | | |
