RE:	Recreation & Aquatics Center Annual Membership Drive

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review and approve a discount of 20% off of annual memberships to the Recreation and Aquatic Center for its Annual Membership Drive.

DISCUSSION:

Each December and January, the Recreation and Aquatic Center conducts a Membership Drive. The practice has proven to be an effective marketing tool for the facility.

The Dec 2020 - Jan 2021 sale produced 285 new or renewals of memberships while the facility was operating with restrictions due to the pandemic.

Staff proposes the following sale costs for annual memberships.

Resident Youth: Regular Price: $135 Sale Price: $108

Resident Senior: Regular Price: $168 Sale Price: $134.40

Resident Adult: Regular Price: $210 Sale Price: $168

Resident Household: Regular Price: $410 Sale Price: $328

Non-Res Youth: Regular Price: $168 Sale Price: $134.40

Non-Res Senior: Regular Price: $210 Sale Price: $168

Non-Res Adult: Regular Price: $268 Sale Price: $214

Non-Res Household: Regular Price: $520 Sale Price: $416

The membership drive would take place from December 13, 2021 - January 16, 2022 to encourage new membership purchases and for membership renewals.

RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the discount of twenty percent (20%) for annual memberships to the Recreation & Aquatic Center as requested.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
No funding is required for this item
