REQUEST:
The Comprehensive Fee schedule was previously approved under Resolution 2015-08 subsequent to the City Council modifying the City Code of Ordinances upon the passage of Ordinance 2015-2051 to allow for most City Fees to be established by Resolution. At the time that the resolution was passed, there were a number of recommendations to make modifications before the fees would go into effect on October 1, 2015. Resolution 2015-22 is presented for approval to make minor corrections and additions to the Comprehensive Schedule of Fees.
DISCUSSION:
The changes made on this revised version of the Fee schedule include the following;
- Addition of the fee for Horse Drawn Vehicles to allow for a single use fee as well as the annual fee. This addition was included to allow for the occasional use of the Horse Drawn Carriage during a holiday or private party where permanent or continual use or the offer of public transportation is not desired.
- The fees for and bond for the right to display campaign signs in the City has been reset to the existing rate and requirements.
- Fees for the use of Credit Cards have been posted separately for Utility Customers and for all other uses to conform to the legal requirements.
- A new Fee for the determination of Development Entitlement Rights has been established by the Development Services Department.
- Modifications to the presentation of the Recreation Membership and related fees and charges have been made.
RECOMMENDATION:
After review and consideration of the fees as set out in the attached Exhibit to become a part of the Resolution, Council action to approve the Resolution is requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Fees will more closely align to the services provided. | | | |
