RE:License Agreement for Dock on City Property - 6746 Grand Boulevard - Cavanaugh Property

REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve a License Agreement to attach a dock to City-owned property as permitted by Section 5-44 of the City's Code of Ordinances.  


DISCUSSION
:

On November 8, 2021 Paul and Karen Cavanaugh submitted a request for a License Agreement with the City so that he may construct a dock on City-owned property adjacent to his property located at 6746 Grand Blvd. 

 

 Prior to the construction of a dock, a fully executed license agreement is required to be submitted to the City.  The agreement grants a conditional, revocable license entitling the licensee to construct a dock attached or immediately adjacent to the seawall on the river side of the City property.  The agreement is conditioned upon compliance with, and is subject to, the provisions of Section 5-44 of the City's Code of Ordinances and provisions otherwise applicable to permitting, construction and maintenance of the dock. 



RECOMMENDATION:

Staff requests that City Council approve the License Agreement to attach a dock to City-owned property as permitted by Section 5-44 of the City's Code of Ordinances as submitted.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

No funding is required for this item.
