RE:2022 Chasco Fiesta Alcoholic Beverage Special Event

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Applications for beer and wine to be sold in Sims Park for the Chasco Fiesta during the festival dates in March and April.

DISCUSSION:

The Special Event Team met to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application for Chasco Fiesta at their regular meeting on January 18, 2022.  Chasco Fiesta will offer beer and wine to be sold in Sims Park as follows:  Friday March 25th 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Saturday, March 26th 1:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday March 27th 1:00pm - 9:00pm, Tuesday, March 29th 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Wednesday, March 30th 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Thursday, March 31st 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Friday April 1st 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Saturday, April 2nd 1:00pm - 11:00pm,

Sunday, April 3rd  1:00pm - 11:00pm.  Sunday April 3rd time is non-traditional due to the date of the scheduled headlining performances availability.

 

A site map that denotes the locations of where the beer and wine will be sold is attached.  

 

Insurance with liquor liability that lists the city as additional insured will be obtained from the event organizer prior to the event.



RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application for the 2022 Chasco Fiesta for beer and wine to be sold in Sims Park as detailed in the discussion portion on this agenda item.
