GFX Transport, Inc., submitted an application to rezone 7944 Rutillio Court from General Commercial (C-2) to Light Industrial (LI). The purpose of the rezoning is to allow for the operation of a granite fabrication business at the subject property.
The subject property is located within an existing area of mixed zoning classifications to the south of Orchid Lake Road. The majority of the properties are zoned General Commercial (C-2) with the remainder being zoning Light Industrial (LI). The subject property is currently designated as Light Industrial within the City’s adopted Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan. Rezoning the subject property to Light Industrial is fully compliant with the currently adopted Light Industrial Future Land Use.
