REQUEST:
The action requested of City Council is to review and consider the approval of the attached proposal from Top Line Recreation Inc., in the amount not to exceed $30,102.58 for the purchase and installation of one Wedgewood Park Playground. The proposal contains pricing in accordance with the current Saint John’s County School District Contract No.2018-04.
DISCUSSION:
As the City Council is aware, Russ Park is located on the west side of US Hwy 19 on the S.E. corner of Avery Road and Wedgewood Drive. On June 14, 2018 the City began stormwater drainage improvements to the park. Subsequent to the completion of construction, the park was leveled and graded out. The existing playground equipment was inspected and determined to be unsafe for use by the public. The proposed playground equipment type is similar to the former playground equipment and is typical for a neighborhood pocket park.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the attached proposal is recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
This piece of equipment is budgeted in the City’s 2021-2022 Capital Equipment/Improvement Program. Funding is identified as Penny for Pasco Tax Dollars in the amount of $35,000. | | | |
