REQUEST:
The City Council is asked to review and approve the amendment to the FY2021-2022 Adopted Budget, which would allow for the following:
- acceptance of a grant from Florida Humanities, in the amount of $5,000. The grant will cover the cost of an English-to-Spanish Language (ESL) Instructor and materials to run the 2022 English for Families Program
- acceptance of multiple $50 donations, totaling $200, from Sondra Mielke to the Library to go toward library supplies
DISCUSSION:
The City’s Purchasing Policy states that a receipt not anticipated in the budget or received for a particular purpose, including but not limited to grants, donations, or gifts, must be approved by City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council approve the accompanying amendment to the FY2021-2022 Adopted Budget.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The amendment allows for the acceptance of a grant and donations, which results in an overall increase of $5,200 to the General Fund’s Operating Budget. | | | |
