REQUEST:
The request of staff is for the City Council to review and consider for approval, the attached proposal from ProMedia in the amount not to exceed $42,966.00 for the purchase audio\video upgrades in the City Council Chambers.
DISCUSSION:
As Council is aware, the audio/video system currently being utilized in the Council Chambers is very old and in much need of being upgraded to newer technologies. The proposal submitted by ProMedia includes serial digital interface cameras, projection screens and microphone bars to increase the audio. In addition, new SDI Projectors have been added to the system and these upgrades will complete the migration to SDI quality images. Additional programing and replacement of some dated components will be completed as well.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the purchase of the AV upgrades from ProMedia as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for this project in the amount of $42,9666.00 is allocated from the Technology Solutions account number 001-02-12-024-512-0000-0000-46431.
