Representatives from the Monufest Music and Art Festival Event attended the April 20, 2022 Cultural Affairs Committee Meeting to discuss the 2nd annual Monufest Event. The event is planned to be held in Railroad Square again this year, is a ticketed event, with proceeds going to support Mullins Music to help promote Music and Arts in the City of New Port Richey.
Last year's Monufest Music and Art Festival Event had 9 bands and 229 attendees. The City approved of the Cultural Affairs Committee recommendation of $5,000 to help fund the event in 2021.
The Cultural Affairs Committee voted during the April 20, 2022 meeting to recommend to City Council to support the event again this year in the amount of $5,000 to provide assistance in offsetting costs associated with the event.
The Cultural Affairs Committee felt that this fundraising event would be a benefit for the local non-profit Mullins Music and would attract positive attention to downtown New Port Richey and local artists.
2022 Monufest Special Event Application and Site Map are attached for City Council review.
