RE:Fifth Amendment to the Lease Agreement between the City of New Port Richey and the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Inc.

REQUEST:

The request is for City Council to approve an amendment to the Lease Agreement with the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce which authorizes an increase in monthly rent payments from $450 to $550 per month for the property located at 5443 Main Street.



DISCUSSION
:

As Council is aware, the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce (f/k/a the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce) has leased the property located at 5443 Main Street from the City since 1971.  The lease has been amended several times over the years to provide for an increase in rent paid and other outstanding fees owed by Chamber.  The purpose of this agenda item is to authorize an increase in the monthly rent payment from $450 to $550 per month. All other provisions set forth in the lease remain unchanged. 



RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends that City Council approve the item as presented and authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce.



BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

This agenda item provides a source of revenue for the City in the amount of $6,600.
