RE:Second Reading, Ordinance No. 2022-2260: Sidewalk Cafe Outdoor Cooking

REQUEST:

The request is for City Council to conduct a second and final reading of an ordinance to provide for outdoor cooking within the Downtown Zoning District during special events within the city.



DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this agenda item is to authorize sidewalk and street café permittees to cook food outdoors within the sidewalk or street café in accordance with the approved sidewalk or street café permit during special events approved by the City.

 

The requested changes made by City Council at the first reading of this ordinance on September 20, 2022 have been incorporated by the City Attorney and are attached for reference. 

 

The Land Development Review Board reviewed this item at its regularly scheduled meeting on September 15, 2022 and recommended approval. 



RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council conduct the second and final reading as requested. 

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
No funding is required for this item.
