Hurricane Ian recently formed in the eastern Caribbean and is predicted to strengthen to a major hurricane within the next couple of days. Should the storm remain on its expected path, Hurricane Ian would impact our area sometime during the middle of this week.  Due to the fact that Pasco County lies within the projected path, staff is requesting that City Council declare a local state of emergency would become effective as of 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
