Kimberly Brust submitted an application seeking membership on the Cultural Affairs Committee in April of this year. Beth Fregger submitted her application in August. Since that time the Cultural Affairs Committee has not been able to reach a quorum in order to have a meeting so each applicant has been unable to meet the two-meeting requirement in order to have their application moved forward on to City Council for formal approval. In an effort to assist the Committee with reaching the required quorum requirements, the City Manager has approved waiving the two-meeting requirement.
If approved by City Council, Ms. Brust and Ms. Fregger's terms will be for two years and will be up for renewal on November 1, 2024. With these appointments, that leaves one member and two alternate member positions open on this committee.
