REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to adopt Resolution No. 2023-03 declaring a local state of emergency in response to impending Tropical Storm Nicole.
DISCUSSION:
Tropical Storm Nicole recently formed in the eastern Atlantic and is predicted to make landfall on Florida's east coast some time Thursday morning. Due to the fact that Pasco County lies within the projected path, staff is requesting that City Council declare a local state of emergency would become effective as of 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council to adopt Resolution No. 2023-02 declaring a local state of emergency in response to impending Tropical Storm Nicole as submitted.
