RE:Recreation and Aquatic Center Annual Membership Drive

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review and approve a discount of 20% off of annual memberships to the Recreation and Aquatic Center for the Annual Membership Drive. 

DISCUSSION:

Each year, during the months of December - January, the Recreation and Aquatic Center conducts a Membership Drive. The practice has proven to be an effective marketing tool for increased membership to the facility. 

 

In 2022, December - January sales resulted in 285 new or renewed memberships. The targeted goal for 2023 is 325 new or renewed memberships. 

 

Staff proposes the following sale cost for annual memberships.

 

Resident Rate 

Resident Youth - Regular Price: $135 Sale Price: $108 

Resident Senior - Regular Price: $168 Sale $134.40 

Resident Adult - Regular Price: $ 210 Sale Price $168

Resident Household - Regular Price $410 Sale Price $328

 

Non- Resident Rate 

Non-Resident Youth:  Regular Price: $168 Sale Price: $134.40 

Non- Resident Senior: Regular Price: $ 210 Sale Price $168

Non- Resident Adult:   Regular Price: $268 Sale Price $ 214

Non- Resident Household: Regular Price: $ 520 Sale Price: $416 

 

The membership drive would be held from December 12, 2022 - January 15, 2023 to retain existing members and encourage new member(s) enrollment. 

 



RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the discount of twenty percent (20%) for annual memberships to the Recreation and Aquatic Center as requested.

No funding is required for this item.
