The action requested of City Council is to review and consider the approval of the attached proposal to enter into an agreement with Tyler Technologies. The proposed amount is estimated not to exceed $82,000.00 within our current fiscal year.

The City of New Port Richey currently uses Tyler Technologies as a vendor for our enterprise application. Currently we house 6 virtual servers for the various Tyler application modules. These servers are responsible for our accounting, billing, payroll, building development, code enforcement, human resources, and utility work orders. The reason for entering this agreement is to provide disaster prevention/disaster recovery services by having Tyler Technologies host our data in the cloud via Software as a Service. This move to the cloud provides security, additional application support and will provide the city with the latest and greatest technology moving into the future.

The City is also up for contract renewal in October of 2023 for our existing self-hosted environment and is seeking to replace the existing arrangement with this agreement.
