RE:	Grand Blvd. Park Improvements – Project Close Out

REQUEST:

The action requested of City Council is to review and consider for approval the attached final pay request from Top Line Recreation Incorporated in the amount not to exceed $185,625.03 for the completion of the Grand Blvd. Park Improvements Project.

DISCUSSION:

As the City Council is aware, Grand Blvd. Park is located on the N.W. corner of Riverview Dr. and Grand Blvd. The Park is considered a “pocket” park for the surrounding residential neighborhoods in the area and is used frequently. It is expected that the proposed improvements will complement the proposed construction of the City’s planned Grand Blvd. multi-use path and improve the quality of life for residents living in the City.

Improvement elements completed during the project include:

· The installation of a shade structure over the playground area.

· The removal and replacement of the existing playground equipment.

· The removal of the existing playground area mulch and the installation of a padded surface.

· Parking lot shell refurbishing.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approval of the final pay request and project close out are recommended.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

This project is included in the City’s 2022-2023 Capital Improvement Program and identified as Penny for Pasco Tax Dollars.
