REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to consider the appointment of Launi Schmutz-Harden to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
DISCUSSION:
Launi Schmutz-Harden has submitted her application seeking membership on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. As Council may recall, Ms. Harden is a graduate of the City's Inaugural Citizens Academy. If approved, Ms. Harden's term will be for three years and will be up for renewal on April 6, 2026. Staff has verified that Ms. Harden meets the requirements set forth in the City's Code to serve on this board. With this appointment, that leaves one member position and two alternate members positions open on the Board.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council consider the appointment of Launi Schmutz-Harden to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board as submitted and accept the attached updated roster if his appointment is accepted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
