RE:First Reading, Ordinance No. 2023-2274: Rezoning of +/-1.36 Acres on Orchid Lake Road

REQUEST:

The request is for city council to approve the rezoning request for property located at the northeast corner of Orchid Lake Road and Congress Street from C-2 to Light Industrial.



DISCUSSION
:

The subject property has a Future Land Use designation of Light Industrial and is surrounded by commercial and industrial uses.  The proposed use is an office and manufacturing/warehouse for medical equipment. 



RECOMMENDATION:

The Land Development Review Board held a quasi-judicial hearing at its March 16, 2023 meeting and is recommending approval of the request.  Minutes of the meeting are attached.



BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

No funding is required for this item.
