REQUEST:
The request is to conduct the second reading on Ordinance No. 2016-2062 in respect to large group public feedings in certain parks and recreational facilities owned or controlled by the City.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to direction by City Council at the October 20, 2015 City Council meeting, a minor modification to the Ordinance was undertaken to add a section regarding removal of trash and debris. Under Section 2 of the Ordinance the following was added: “(k) Applicant shall be responsible for the proper disposal of waste and trash associated with the distribution or service of food to maintain the health and safety of the public.” There are no other modifications to the ordinance. Additionally, the language in the sixth Whereas clause referencing criminal acts has been removed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the proposed Ordinance as submitted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no funding required for this item at this time. | | | |
