The Special Event Team met to review the Sims Park Usage and Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Applications for the NPR Rotaract's Craft Beer & Wine Festival at a meeting held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

This special event serves to promote local business as well as act as a fundraiser for the New Port Richey Rotaract Club.  The New Port Richey Rotaract Organization has requested to serve beer and wine to patrons at this ticketed event.

The event will be held in Sims Park on Saturday, July 22, 2023, with alcohol sales occurring from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at which time ticketed patrons will visit vendor booths and try samples of beer and wine.

Alcohol Beverage Special Event Permits stated times on the application are limited to Monday through Saturday, noon to 11:00 pm per City Ordinance, Chapter 3, Section 3-5.  The applicant shall be responsible for enforcing the hours of operation and shall be liable for the failure to enforce the hours of operation. 

A site map that denotes the vendors and locations of where beer and wine will be sold is attached. 

The New Port Richey Rotaract has completed and provided the City Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Permit Application as well as the City's Special Event Permit and requests to utilize Sims Park to sell alcohol at the designated locations per the Site Map which was approved by the SET team at their Tuesday, April 18, 2023, meeting.
