On May 9, 2023, Mr. Rob Marlowe submitted his application seeking membership on the Environmental Committee. As Council is aware, Mr. Marlowe served the residents of our city for many years both as Council member and most recently as Mayor. If approved, Mr. Marlowe's term will be for two years and will be up for renewal on June 6, 2025. Staff has verified that Mr. Marlowe meets the requirements to serve on this committee. With this appointment, that leaves one alternate member position open on the committee.
It should be noted that on the attached application, Mr. Marlowe stated he had attended one committee meeting however he will have met the two meeting minimum before this item is presented to Council on June 6, 2023.
