REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to accept a check in the amount of $20,000 from the Kiwanis Club of Greater West Pasco to be used for the purchase of children's wheelchair accessible playground equipment and approve the corresponding budget amendment.
DISCUSSION:
Staff was contacted in late April by Bill Koenig, President of the Kiwanis Club of Greater West Pasco with the Club's intent to donate a check in the amount of $20,000 to be used for the purchase of children's wheelchair accessible playground equipment. This generous donation will be a welcome addition and will allow for children with special needs to enjoy playground facilities.
Mr. Koenig will be in attendance at your meeting to make the official check presentation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council accept a check in the amount of $20,000 from the Kiwanis Club of Greater West Pasco to be used for the purchase of children's wheelchair accessible playground equipment and approve the corresponding budget amendment as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
