RE:	Annual Membership Drive - Recreation and Aquatic Center

REQUEST:
For your review and consideration is the membership drive for annual memberships at the Recreation and Aquatic Center.

DISCUSSION:

In an effort to increase the number of patrons that purchase an annual membership, and also to increase the number of our current members that renew their annual membership to the Recreation and Aquatic Center, staff is proposing a 20% discount on annual memberships sold from December 6, 2015 through January 16, 2016.

The cart below identifies the current membership rates as well as the proposed rates with a 20% reduction.

RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Membership Drive for annual memberships with the Recreation and Aquatic Center. The Drive would be held from December 6, 2015 through January 16, 2016. Patrons purchasing an annual membership during this time frame, as well as current members that renew their membership, would receive a 20% discount for the Recreation and Aquatic Center.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Although there is no measurable impact to the budget, it is anticipated that failure to conduct this program would result in a loss in revenue. The total revenue collected for the annual membership drive during 2014 was $26,515.
