REQUEST:
The request is to conduct a first reading of Ordinance Number 2016-2063 in relationship to Roadway Memorial Markers and to approve the proposed ordinance.
DISCUSSION:
As you may recall, staff presented to you at your October 20, 2015 meeting a proposed ordinance to regulate roadside memorials within city limits. After discussion by Council, staff was directed to revise the proposed ordinance to prohibit roadside memorials altogether within the city. The City Attorney has prepared the attached revised ordinance for your consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation is for the City Council to conduct a first reading of the Roadside Memorial Marker Ordinance and to approve the proposed ordinance as submitted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no funding required for this item at this time. | | | |
