REQUEST:
Staff requests that City Council consider the appointment of Mr. Bob Smallwood to the Land Development Review Board.
DISCUSSION:
On June 10, 2016, the City Manager reviewed the application of Mr. Smallwood to serve as a member of the Land Development Review Board and determined that he would be a good fit for the position. The current vacancy is as a first alternate and the appointment will be for a three-year term expiring on July 19, 2019. Incidentally, if this appointment is approved, Mr. Smallwood has indicated that he intends to resign his seat on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
As required by City Code, this appointment must be approved by the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council's approval of Mr. Smallwood and the Board's updated roster.
